The concept of the SberDevices flagship store in Saint Petersburg

SberDevices opened its first showroom of smart devices in an apartment format.

The store is located next to the home goods hypermarket «Maxidom» – a high-traffic area for people looking for home improvement and renovation products.

Problems and Objectives

Main objective – to rethink the design and create a space that produces a wow effect.

Initial showroom plan imitated an apartment with a regular interior.

These are renderings of how it was planned. And here's why it wouldn't work:

Lack of wow effect. The apartment looks like everyone else's, a space completely devoid of personal touch.

«This is not my home». Almost every guest would say this because people live in interiors of different styles.

Devices get lost. Furniture, accessories, and finishes «weigh» more than the main heroes — the devices.

Our idea is to strip the interior of colors, textures and any existing architectural style.

Using Sber's smart devices, the space instantly transforms and comes to life — making it yours and only yours. The showroom becomes not just a custom space but a unique experience created using the capabilities of SberDevices.

Solution Path

Concept — сreate a space that prompts a person to experience an emotion, imagining they can create fantasy worlds at home.

Intro is reception area.

Participants enter the hallway as in any standard apartment, not realizing what exciting journey awaits them.

Interior. Demo zone — intentionally devoid of colors. Activating the devices immediately brings the room to life with light, drawing attention to the devices.

Room progression
Guests experience a day in Sber's Smart Home, starting with a gentle and comfortable wake-up, continuing with lunch in the kitchen-dining area, and ending with evening playtime in the children's room.

Scenarios

In total, 3 types of scenarios are implemented in the space.

Standard scenarios.

Typical smart home plots executed via voice command or portal.

For example, the standard living room mode is «Relax Time», where the curtains open 50%, a relaxation music playlist starts on SberBoom, and the smart strip lights up in «Northern Lights» mode.

Super Modes.

Scenarios creating a wow atmosphere and full immersion through content and activation of multiple smart devices.

For example, the curtains close, romantic music plays, lights switch «romance» mode, a dim light appears over the work area, a digital flower endlessly unfolds on the sphere, and flowers or abstract pink particles are projected onto the walls.

Sber Smart Devices

The only colored objects in the monochrome space. When activated, devices are further highlighted with smart backlighting.

Smart Lighting

When scenarios are activated, smart lighting and backlighting draw attention to active elements of the scenario.

Projections in Super Modes

Walls and spheres. When super modes are activated, we engage a large number of devices and start projection content on the sphere and walls.

Seasonal Mode

Scenarios tied to the season create a wow atmosphere and an immersive effect through content and activation of multiple smart devices.

For example, with the command «Green Day», the super mode is activated in all rooms: LED backlighting operates in green mode.

Sberbank's logo is shown on sphere projections. Abstract green bokeh with the message «The best deal of the year» is projected on the walls.

SberMarket opens on the TVs.

A Day with the Smart Home

Guest Journey

During their journey, the client is shown the device's functionality, thereby encouraging and motivating them to make a purchase.

The guest arrives.

Learns the mechanics.

Scenario is launched.

Passes through all zones.

Receives a discount and decides to buy now or order from home.
